Do Work That Matters
If you only have one to-do a day, what would it be? mit is a to-do list without the list, so you can focus on getting your single most important task done every day.
Not All Tasks Are Created Equal
In a traditional task management app, you create to-dos for everything you need to get done, and review them regularly. However, this approach has two drawbacks. First, your list tends to fill with errands and urgent tasks that may not relate to your goals. Second, you have to diligently keep your list updated, or else it will not be relevant.
To overcome these drawbacks, another productivity method emerges. Simply known as Most Important Task, it is based on a simple idea — what if instead of keeping track of all your tasks, you focus only on the ones that matter?
You can put this method into practice in three easy steps:
1. Every morning, write down your most important task of the day.
2. Set aside some time to work on it, the earlier, the better.
3. Check the task off once you have completed it!
No matter what life throws at you throughout the day, you can deal with it knowing that you have taken one more step forward towards your goals.
An App For Your Most Important Task
mit is purpose-built for you to apply this simple productivity method in your life.
1. Log Your Task
Write down your most important task in mit every day. It is the home base for your tasks— over time you can look back at all the small steps you have taken to achieve your goals.
2. See It at a Glance
Add a widget on your Home Screen to see your most important task at a glance. It also serves as a reminder to get it done as soon as possible.
3. Across All Devices
mit supports iCloud so all your data are backed up and synced across both your iPhone and iPad.
Because Small Steps Do Add Up ...
As the saying goes, “Success is a sum of small efforts, repeated day in, day out.” Take small steps every day with mit, and one day you will get to where you want to be. I wish you all the best!
